Sarah Quinn (née Carey) of Seaview Heights, Rathnew and late of Blainroe, who passed away peacefully, at the Knockrobin Hill Care Home, on Sunday, 22nd March 2020. Predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew, parents William and Sarah Carey and by her sister Sheila Hutchinson and brother’s William Carey and Michael Murray. Dearly loved mother of Martina and Edel and adored nanny of Charlene, Lauren, Shauna, Anthony and Carly and great nanny to Taylor and Hazel. She will be sadly missed by her family, sisters Margaret Dillon and Ann Wright, brother Joseph (USA), sons in law Tony and John, extended family and friends.

Sarah’s funeral Mass, due to current restrictions, will be private for family only on Tuesday morning in St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, at 10am followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Dorothy Byrne (Glebemount, Wicklow Town) 21st March 2020 peacefully in her 94th year in the loving care of the nurses and staff at St. Colman’s Hospital Rathdrum. Loving sister of the late Annie, Tommy, Jimmy and Paddy. Deeply regretted by her loving nieces Mary, Ann, Anita and Dolores, nephews Richard, Willie and Paidin, cousin Pat, extended family, relatives and friends.

Ann Cullen née McCarthy of Blainroe and late of Glenview Road Wicklow Town who passed away Wednesday 18th March 2020 peacefully in the loving care Louise and the staff of the Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Beloved wife of Paddy and much loved mother of Patricia, John, Joseph, Ellen, Sarah, Myles, Mary, Elizabeth, Theresa, Catherine, James, Pauline, Philip, David, Clare and the late Michael and Anne Marie. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandson, extended family and friends.

A private family funeral Mass shall take place on Saturday at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town and can be viewed on the parish webcam (www.wicklowparish.ie). Burial immediately afterwards in Three Mile Water Cemetery.          May she rest in peace.

CURLEY (Patrick), Blainroe, Co. Wicklow, March 18th 2020 (peacefully) following a prolonged illness, in the loving care of the wonderful staff of the Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Paddy, deeply missed by his loving wife Joan, sons John and Paul; daughters-in-law Hillary and Julie; his much loved grandchildren Laura, Ben, Dan, Harry and Lily; great-grandaughter Isabelle; brother Michael; sister-in-law Deirdre, nephew and nieces, together with his extended family and friends.

Our family would request that in light of the current national crisis and in order to reduce the risk to Mum, those, ( other than immediate family) , that wish to celebrate Paddy’s life would refrain from attending the service in person and would join Paddy’s Funeral Service, using the live streaming feature on the Wicklow Parish Website instead ( www.wicklowparish.ie click on ” see more ” in the ” live services ” section) The Funeral Service will take place at 1.00 pm this Saturday 21st March. We understand the desire to sympathise with and support our family at this time, therefore Once the current crisis has passed, our family will arrange a memorial service for Dad.

 

 

Breffni Carroll (Dunbur Terrace, Wicklow Town) 12th March 2020, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Loving son of the late Joe and Mai Carroll. Sadly missed by his loving partner Viviana, children Rose and Rex, brother Gavin, sister Melissa, extended family, relatives and many friends.

Joseph (Joey) Kelly late of Darragh Park, Wicklow Town who passed away Thursday, 5th March 2020, peacefully at his son John’s home at Rath, Lorrha, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Dearly loved husband of the late Julia Ann (née Corkish) and much loved and loving father of Theresa, John and the late Christopher. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Dean, Jason and Caoimhe, great-grandchildren Luke and Pippa, son-in-law Benny, John’s partner Lorraine, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

Joey will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 6pm until 8pm on Friday.

Removal on Saturday from the funeral home at 1.15pm at walking pace to St. Patrick’s Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Edward Kelly (Ocean View, Wicklow Town) 27th February 2020, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Loving father of the late Jonathan. Sadly missed by his loving wife Breda, sons Eddie, David and Philip, daughters Amanda and Catherina, brothers Johnny and Michael, sister Ann, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Edward will be reposing at his home in Ocean View on Friday evening for 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Removal Monday morning at 9.15 am to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town walking (via Market Square) arriving for 10.00 am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Maria Dunne (née Doyle) Strand Street, Wicklow Town, passed away peacefully on the 29th February, 2020. Loving wife of the late John, beloved mother of Nigel and Alan, sadly missed by daughters-in-law Linda and Jenny and cherished grandmother to Logan. Fondly remembered by sisters Nuala and Cissie, brother Thomas, exceptional sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers.

Maria will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67 E003) Monday evening from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Removal Tuesday morning at 9.15 am from Strand Street to proceed walking to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, arriving for 10.00 am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery. Family flowers only please; donations if desired to Daffodil Night Nursing Service (Irish Cancer Society). House private please.
