May Mason née Doyle (Rocky Road, Wicklow Town). 20th August 2021 in her 92nd year, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of the late Norman and much loved mother of James, Isobel, Margaret, Barbara and Catherine, grandmother of Simon, Paul, Sarah and our little angel Davy, Christer, Tim, Robyn, James, Natasha, Jennifer, Joe and Orla, great grandmother of Christer, Grace, Kiri, Ellie, Ava, Jack, Kate, Libby, Sam and Phoebe. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her children’s spouses and partners, extended family and friends.

Resting where no shadows fall.

Removal from the family home on Monday morning at 10.30am walking to St Patrick’s Church arriving for funeral Mass at 11am followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Eamon Byrne of Convent Road, Wicklow Town and formerly of Begnet’s Villas, Dalkey, Co Dublin who passed away on Tuesday 10th August 2021 at his home. Predeceased by his parent’s Denis and Helen Byrne and sister Pauline Barnaville. Deeply regretted by his siblings Donnacha, Margaret, Kevin, Una, Michael, Ena and Gerry, extended family, former work colleagues at United Caps Limited and friends.

Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town on Tuesday 17th August at 11am followed by private cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Phil Delaney née O’Reilly of Kilpoole Hill, Wicklow who passed away on Sunday 8th August 2021 peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Wicklow Hospice. Now reunited with her beloved husband Patrick (Saber) Delaney. Remembered with love by her son Jason, daughter Priscilla, daughter in law Emma, son in law Phil, grandchildren Joe, Dylan, Caolan and Lana and by her siblings Margaret, Andrew, John, Esther and Elizabeth, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral arriving to the Market Square, Wicklow Town on Thursday morning at 10.30am and then proceeding at walking pace to St Patrick’s Church arriving for funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Three Mile Water Cemetery.

Sally Scully née Kelly of St Laurence’s Park and formerly of Glenview Road, Wicklow Town who passed away on Thursday 5th August 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Gerry and much-loved mother of Gerry, David, Martina and James and adored Nanny Sal of Aoife, Caitlin, Amy, Aiden, Grace, Rose, April, Tom, Erin, Jack, Callan and Áine. Sadly missed by her sisters Essie, Anne, Marguerite, Jean and Anna, brothers Mosey and Billy, son in law Mark, daughters in law Ciara and Tasha, extended family and friends.

Removal from the family home at St Laurence’s Park on Saturday at 12.20pm walking via Glenview Road and the Market Square to St Patrick’s Church arriving for funeral Mass at 1pm followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Joe Murphy (Glebemount, Wicklow Town and formerly of Holmstown Avenue, Glenageary, Dublin) 3rd August 2021 in his 92nd year, peacefully in the loving care of his devoted carers in Knockrobin Hill Care Home, Wicklow. Now reunited with his recently deceased wife Carmel.

Good night sweet Prince, and flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.

Sadly missed by his loving son David, daughter Rachel, son-in-law Mike, grandchildren and niece, relatives and friends.

Due to the current HSE guidelines Joe’s Funeral Mass will be private. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11.00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town

 

Aidan Giffney (Merrymeeting, Rathnew and late of Glenealy, Co. Wicklow), who passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on 1st August 2021. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth, together again, his mother Bridget and father William. Dearly loved husband, proud and loving father of Stephen, Jason, and Adrian, daughters-in-law Lorraine, Janet and Mari, brothers-in-law Billy and Pat, sisters-in-law Claire and Doreen. Remembered with love by his adored grandchildren Nathan, Leon, Ben, Emilia, Shannon, Tracey and Kayleigh. Remembered by all his nieces and nephews, family and friends. His long life friends Mary Dowling & Eamon and his special friend Bug and Rabbit.

Removal from McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town on Wednesday morning at 10.30 am to St. Joseph’s Church Rathnew arriving for 11.00 am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew cemetery.

 

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
